Critique of Impure Politics With Apologies to Immanuel Kant

Healthcare reform became the latest polarizing Cram Down issue in Congress, with the Party of No excluded from negotiations.

We the People oppose the Public Option because we agree with the Congressional Budget Office it raises healthcare premiums, already rising at a 20% rate because of government involvement, raises government debts $2.5 to 9 Trillion and raises taxes without providing coverage to uninsured Americans as promised.

ObamaCare may cost another 1.6 million jobs. Recall President Obama’s promise to not raise taxes on the middle class or poor.

How can we borrow, spend and tax our way to jobs and prosperity?

If the three upset victories in November are an indication, we may have an anti-incumbent tidal wave coming in 2010, despite recurring political assurances that bailouts and stimulus programs created 3.5% growth in GDP after a 15.35% contraction.

Despite politicians proclaiming the 2010 election is lightyears away, economic history clearly shows we had many whipsaw fake recoveries from 1929 to 1949 as economy and jobs contracted. This led to World War II and the Atomic Bomb, with a President described as a Dictator.

52% disapprove of the job President Obama is doing. This dissatisfaction and desire for real reform grows as Big Government borrows, spends and taxes more, crowding out the economy and productive jobs.

Not only is Government Takeover of Healthcare unpopular, Cap and Trade taxes that hurt the poor and middle class are even less popular.

While Reagan cut taxes and reduced red tape to stimulate the economy and employment, President Obama and his enablers created programs that increase government debts, spending and taxes.

Wall Street, a major backer of Obama, cut America’s retirement plans in half. The Wall Street Corpse was bailed out at Main Street expense. Big Bankers are still not lending to Main Street. They took taxpayer money and traded it on Wall Street for gold and oil against the dollar and Americans.

71% of the economy is still consumers. We are unlikely to have any lasting or real recovery until consumers have more jobs, savings and real hope and confidence for the future. Thanksgiving Black Friday and Christmas may tell the truth about false recovery syndrome.
