Deadly Matrix ICE: Internet Conscious Engineering

John C.M. MacBeth’s introduction of Lord Hailey to the Empire Club of Canada gives a good sense of who Hailey was:

[W]e are to be addressed by the Chairman of the Colonial Research Advisory Committee, the very head and front of the modern colonial and dominion policy of unity of purpose by independence of action, if I may so express it. [17]

Franklin Roosevelt blasted the British Empire’s colonial policies over and over again. Lord Hailey, among others, was tasked to put a kinder, gentler mask on the Empire, calling it The Commonwealth. A lot of lives were lost fighting colonialism. Native resentments exist to this day in Africa, the Americas, Australia, Caribbean, Hawaii, New Guinea, New Zealand and elsewhere.

Hailey used the RLI to explore techniques of indirect rule, much more efficient and inexpensive than the awkward policy of having regional governors maintain the British or Dutch colonial power.

Indirect rule was similar to techniques employed at Lewin’s Research Center for Group Dynamics, or Eric Trist’s self-regulating work groups at the Calico Mines in India, or self-critical Communist Socialist Industrial management worker groups.

Acting on behalf of the Anglo-Dutch cartels, Hailey had his anthropologists profile the members of the tribal structure, in order to isolate authoritarian personalities or ego networks who were against the slave system of the Empire. This still happens today with unionism and O attempts to eliminate secret ballot votes.

Once leadership was eliminated, the consensus was forced upon the natives that globalization was inevitable, and that the choices in the game theory matrix had been reduced to two:

Work as a slave in the copper mines, or starve.

As consolation, these democratic social engineers of the Commonwealth did game the debate to allow a limited token range of discussion about human rights issues, like women’s rights or racial equality.

Roland, even more true now that we learn
scammers, some of them already in prison,
used Facebook for personal info to get money from grandparents
posing as grandchildren in trouble. Meanwhile the founder of
Facebook reportedly in India, freed by money for software that
    put Facebook users at risk.
Maybe people will be a little more circumspect when they realize
all communications may be tracked these days…
