GreenScam: How Tax Favored Foundations Get Taxpayers to Bend Over

We hope the Congressional Financial Services Oversight Committee is as curious re the sequential Maiden Lane number/date mismatches. Perhaps there is a simple explanation that involves the Fed and Treasury not claiming statutory authority at the various times. Perhaps not.

In any event, we have multiple misgivings:

First, the TARP/EESA bait and switch enabled by Presidential Executive Order morphed it down from a $700 Billion mortgage bailout, to a $50 Billion dollar foreclosure mitigation.

PEO abrogated Section 102 and allowed non-bank TARP bailouts of Chrysler and GM to please United Auto Worker ownership, if not bond and shareholders and the market economy.

This was straight out of Animal Farm Stalinism.

Second, after calling for Transparency to restore confidence, the Fed Chair pointedly and repeatedly refused to name 150 recipients of $2.2 Trillion in Taxpayer Money in a Fed Congressional Oversight hearing regarding Taxpayer Funds and what they and the Treasury did with them.

BB’s opinion was that the promised transparency would put more banks at risk of failure.

So now we have non-lending zombie banks for the foreseeable future, with another possible misguided Son of Stimulus in time for the 2012 elections.

Third, the Fed Chair still opposes a thorough audit of the Federal Reserve or Treasury gold reserves.

The last thorough audit of Federal Government gold reserves was when Ike was President. Special visitors can gaze at 22 karat gold bricks made from melted coins in the 1933 confiscation, but not touch or measure heat conductivity.

Both tungsten and depleted uranium can be used to counterfeit gold.

A theory like this one seems impossible to fathom. Is the government doing whatever is necessary to maintain calm among the population after these speculations aboutthe end of the world? If this theory is accurate, we wonder who the people who are on the list will be.
