Try accepting his bet.

This was certifiable mania, if not outright fraud.

Recall Charles MacKay:

Of all the offspring of Time, Error is the most ancient, and is so old and familiar an acquaintance, that Truth, when discovered, comes upon most of us like an intruder, and meets the intruder’s welcome.

The fundamental human condition at tops that has not changed for 12 millennia is greed.

More to the point, reducing and clarifying many thoughts and words to the bottom line, is this:

Big4 were not only short gold and silver since they peaked at $1226.40 and $19.45 on Wednesday 3 December 2009, they are now more short.

Who would you believe – free gold infomercials and websites appealing to greed by putting your retirement plan into their product, or what the richest four traders in the world may be doing quietly?

Big4.

Thus, while inundated with images of Olympic Gold in Summer of 2008 in Beijing and Winter of 2010 in Vancouver, we are reminded of the epic Clash of the Titans, coming soon to a neighborhood near us.

This Clash is actually a remake of the 1981 movie starring Sir Laurence Olivier in the myth of Perseus and his quest to battle both Medusa and the Kraken monster to save the Princess Andromeda.

The google ad inserted into this page when I read it was

“Gold prices are rocketing – Join The Gold Rush – Trade Gold Online”

As Bart Simpson would say…”The ironing is delicious”.

Personally I don’t think the gold top is in, but you may be right and I may be wrong.

I also posted on Pete Grandich’s site that I know at least one person who tried to take the other side of his bet and his comment was deleted. My comment is “under moderation”.

    Best.

Yes, irony may be the ultimate contrary indicator.
At least you got under moderation, LOL.
As of this moment, your and my posts have still not shown up
and he is claiming no one took him up on his offers.

Guess we can’t believe everything we see on the web, even
from people with a lot of publicity.
    Karma always catches up.
Time will tell about the top.
